Happy Independence Day to our friends and family at Kenwood! Kenwood celebrated the 4th of July with lots of food and entertainment. We were delighted to have the Kentucky Bluegrass Cloggers show off their dancing skills. They were so talented and fun to watch! They even taught us a group dance and really got the audience involved! We also enjoyed live music entertainment from Jack Smith. He played a variety of oldies and country music that everyone enjoyed. The menu featured all kinds of cookout food like hot dogs and hamburgers, potato salad, chips, and dozens of desserts. It was a great All-American celebration! As always, thank you to the volunteers that helped make this event possible and to everyone who provided a dish for all of us to enjoy! A special thank you must go to Debbie Richardson and Victory Tabernacle Church for the use of their tents and grill. Families also had the chance to win a summer raffle and several giveaways. We were delighted to offer a camp chair, glass drink dispenser, and summer tumbler set; a dinner and movie for two ($20 Cinemark and $25 Texas Roadhouse donated by Cindy Weaver); and a $25 Texas Roadhouse Gift Card to three lucky family members. The raffle prize was a huge cooler filled with summer essentials generously donated by Active Day. Congratulations to our winners!
