Love is in the air at Kenwood! Love for our residents and families, for our community, and especially for the desserts of all kinds served at the Valentine’s Day Dessert Buffet. This Valentine’s day, Kenwood wanted to do something to show love to those in need in our community, so we held a food drive! Each unit in the facility took part in a competition to accrue the most donated non-perishable food items. The winning unit was granted the opportunity to nominate their female residents for Valentine’s Day Queen. Congratulations to C-hall for their victory in the Food Drive competition! As a building, Kenwood provided over 2,000 items to God’s Pantry! During the party, Mike G. and Christine F. were crowned as the King and Queen of Valentine’s Day! Congratulations Mike and Christine! They received gifts and crowns and were surrounded by family and friends as they enjoyed their new monarchy. After the coronation, dessert was served. It was truly an impressive spread of treats for everyone to appreciate. We would like to issue a huge thank you to all the volunteers who showed Kenwood activities a little love and made this event possible!
