Congratulations to Emmi R. Willis for earning May’s employee of the month! Emmi is a unique and talented individual who cares for the residents and loves her job. She has been working in the dietary profession for over 26 years and has spent over 17 of those years at Kenwood. Emmi loves to cook; she has been able to turn her passion into her occupation. Her mother taught her everything she knows as she was growing up. She has a big family that likes to eat, and they appreciate Emmi’s skills in the kitchen. She has one daughter named Sierra and one grandson named Tin. Emmi’s favorite part of her job is getting to know the residents when they come to the kitchen to get snacks or discuss the menu. After getting to know Emmi, they come to visit the kitchen even when they aren’t hungry! Emmi has always been a people person and she enjoys training the other dietary staff and interacting with all the staff at Kenwood. She makes friends easily, is constantly willing to lend a hand, and is always ready with a smile and joke whenever the kitchen door opens. Emmi’s favorite food to cook is steak, “I’m a meat and potatoes girl,” she laughed during her interview. She is also an active member of Richmond Predestinarian Baptist Church and has been since she was 11 years old. Her other hobby is fishing. She loves to go to lake Reba and is excited for warmer weather so she can hit the lake! Awarding Emmi Employee of the Month is a small way to say thank you for the warmth and good food she brings to Kenwood every day. She was awarded a special certificate, a gift card to a store of her choosing, and the best parking space in the lot. Thank you, Emmi!
